The Blessing
A blessing bursts through on a rainy day
It came without blemish and shame
But with happiness and mirth
Tears filled my heart's pores
As the rain of guilt fell more and more
But light poured through and opened a door
I stand upon a sun-shined path
The rain falls light as the blessing is insight
Hovering its luminous aura around my life
We shed tears and feel the pain and sorrow
Sometimes not even aware of the good coming tomorrow
The blessing is life
The ability and opportunity to live
Self-realization and heartwarming epiphanies
Take away the pangs of tribulation
My eyes are open - I can see
And breathe in the blessing given to me
