The Black Cat

The black cat pounces~
claws eviscerate! –
victim cries out as its specie
tongue torn-out. Surely
God could not have intended
this! The black cat,
licks, nurses, cleans its young.
Would die for their protection.
Purrs in the old woman’s lap,
otherwise alone, needing a cat’s
warmth of affection – surely God
intended it this way. Surely
God has a
              convoluted
                             reflection --

The domesticated cat perhaps, we just haven't figured it out yet. Love changes you. It'll be a woman who gives us the answer. The loving God has always been indeed, as choice, since the beginning, if He the loving God makes no sense, to some, perhaps one God reincarnated as many God's makes more sense, who cares! Merits be where its at for anyone caring the torch for God. Blessings

Very interesting comment. Food for deep thought. Thank you, Anaya. God's love, patience, lack of, violent attitude -- He meets us where we spiritually are. True Free Will has profound consequences.

Thank you, Sara; without the concepts of total Free Will, karma and reincarnation, there is no way to balance pain and suffering with an all loving God. Can't be done.

Nothing to do with the poem, but you cold have titled this 'The Black Hat.' (Say 'Black Hat' fast, and you'll see why).

Wears many hats. That would have been amusing. Missed that opportunity. Thank you, Gershon. Have a great writing weekend my friend. In Phoenix good time to stay indoors at one's desk. Hot.

God has a convoluted reflection? God went no further than Himself to get material for the Universe. As well as all loving, beautiful presence on this earth, in this earth (product of Himself) do you actually think that God is pain and suffering as well by first choice? Pain and suffering his preferred divine plan? I know, the devil does that! God would wipe Evil out of existence in a heartbeat -- had He not given us power to do this ourselves. Free Will means, just that...Free Will. All blights, all wars stem from our own charged wills. God will not destroy this world, so that the good will go to heaven. If this world is destroyed, it will be or our own doing.

An animal tears another apart to feed to live. We cultivate, love animals...and then slaughtered them for food. Everything on the hunt in a sense...do you really think a loving God would make a world that way? Now, if you think that I am suggesting that, God did not create our world, that I am suggesting there is no all loving God, then you would be wrong. Not suggesting such a thing at all. I am no atheist, nor a believer that God is simply some moving limited force. What I am suggesting is, that the world is a reflection of our own hearts and energetic wills. Our environment outside reflects our environment inside. We have a lot more power than we give ourselves credit for. A lot more responsibility for our own pain and suffering than we are willing to admit. The true extent of free will, is not to just make choices, but on a level of consciousness, unconsciously we create our own living heaven or hell.
