I stood on the shoreline of a tranquil lake,
eager for the glorious birth of daybreak
when the hint of burgundy, colored the sky;
a signal to gulls, "Time to take wing and fly."
Tangerine hues flowed from God's paint brush
to color Dawn's cheeks a deep shade of blush.
I waited with expectation for the sun to arise
Its brilliance was ascending before my eyes.
I felt a glowing warmth gently touch my face
as he climbed from repose in an unhurried pace.
There glimmered a soft light over ruffling waves.
Scenes like this, my camera captures and saves.
*A collaboration between myself and Jenna Logan*
The picture was taken at my secret fishing spot on Sunday morning
