The betrayal of innocence leads to emotional collapse. A fledgling heart must flex its wings; before its flight feathers get clipped. Nothing's more devastating than the betrayal of innocence. Songbirds cease to sing cheery songs; and suddenly, words take on weight. Your world is a less friendly place; for, now, you see life's ugly side. The betrayal of innocence feels like death from a thousand cuts. Trust is no longer free of doubt; what was, can never be restored. You cannot forgive nor forget; the betrayal of innocence.

and yet all conflicts must be healed by love alone, by unconditional forgiveness, Ho’oponopono perhaps, else life after life, roles will rotate, in the deluded quest for revenge
