The Best Way I Know

THE BEST WAY I KNOW.... One way I know how to express myself Is to be a silent witness to the reader I say in verse what I strongly feel About the One who is my Leader He is called the Son of God He's also called Son of Man He can save you from the world of sin There's no other one who can I daily praise Him wherever I go And verbally tell others all about Him Because I want other people to know He loved them enough to die for them So whether in verse or by my word It's the best way that I know That numerous people have read or heard Of the Savior who loved them so Life on earth will end one day It is appointed for man once to die Christ is the Truth, the Life, and the Way And that's the reason why I take the time to proclaim Him To people wherever I go To seek the One who died for them It's the best way that I know 15 September 2018 For the contest sponsored by Line Gauthier

God be praised and thanked for being the poet God wants you to be... It is my prayer that you will continually, by God's grace, express God's message through your poems. God bless you!

Thank you, Beata, for your prayers and for your support, but especially for your prayers. It is only by God's grace that I am able to do as you say and I feel led to use poetry as a silent witness to others as to what God has done for me and to let them know He can, and will, do the same for them.

A wonderful testament of your faith, Curtis. "My God and I walk through the fields together, We walk and talk as good friends should and do. We clasp our hands. Our voices ring with laughter. My God and I walk through the meadows hue" One of my favorite songs:)

Thank you, Daniel, for your comment and for the song which fostered it. My faith is important to me and I feel led to share it in verse with others. I look at it as a sort of silent witness. Thanks again for your support and for your friendship.

Gordon, thank you so kindly for your response. I try to write the majority of my poems in this vein as a sort of 'silent witness' for some Soup members who either don't know or don't adhere to the gospel truth. It's always good to have someone like you who knows the truth and unashamedly admits to it. Bless you, my friend!
