The Best Photo

Best of show is usually the first photo taken or the last one.
The family photographer took over a hundred and twenty pictures today
using a timer
running back to her place on wobbly heels
when she could have worn tennis shoes
as she was standing behind a lot of other shoes
The best photograph was the last one.
The one right before she said “Everybody get in this one,”
seconds after the neighbor who had wandered down to peek at us
to try to see what we were doing thought she meant him too.
My favorite forever probably
for that fact alone.

I never understood how anyone can work on their feet, in high heels. Sounds like a great family photo.
