The Belly Dancer

.........The Belly Dancer......... Stood beside her teacher on the stage. Young, brunette. Hip hugger magenta jeans and a short bandana shoulder less top... Her young heart leapt with dreams of dancing fame. Shoes were forbidden, just her beautiful feet showed. And heavy finger cymbals from Syria She imagined herself already in prismatic, sequined flowing veils. Creating licentiousness by weaving her hips, And the trembling waves of her torso. Performing before colored lights. Much to the audience's delight.   When the Moroccan music began, she was swept into a magical dance. Her teacher, encouraging her to do more so! And full use of the serpentine stage she made! Imagining herself in that surreal costume of femininity, Designed to cover the body perfectly. Voluptuously, just glistening with coins and intoxicating crystals.   The blend of Moroccan-Mediterranean sounds, indeed! That remind her clearly now. This was just the lyrical foundation and introduction to the man who is her heart's eternal vibration! He is the music that keeps her alive and eternal connection to life and the stars. She will always be his "Faiza, the Turkish Delight." His love of so many nights.   Till her spirit clandestintinely soars to their Romios Star. There she waits for him in their celestial dwelling. To dance for him...forevermore! September 30, 2019

this is SUPERB descriptive writing, Pangie. I actually learned a little belly dancing around year 2000. My teacher took me to a Greek restuarant in Salt Lake City and let me perform one of her dances with her. I was so scared to perform but i had a beautiful costume with jingle jangles on it. I don't remember people even looking at me. I hope they did!! I was slenderer in those days and felt sexy. Anyway, for my memories and love of belly dancing and for your outstanding writing, A FAVE

"Till her spirit clandestintinely soars to their Romios Star. There she waits for him in their celestial dwelling. To dance for him...forevermore!" Special to have had such a beautiful love in your life. This is really tantalizing writing -- sensuous and enchanting...a great palace, veils and silk mysteries beneath -- love this!

Belly dancing is an art in itself, Panagiota. It reflects the natural beauty of both dancer and dance. Your erotic imagery and movement take pride of place. ~ Regards // paul

Your words are full of Turkish Delight Panagiota - so yummy and fabulous, just like you sweet lady! How wonderful to be able to dance and express such emotion. There is nothing more thrilling than watching a talented dancer perform - FAV for me dear friend. I never had the confidence to really express myself with dance, so I let my poetry do this instead. Have a great day, with kindest thoughts Ann xx

Ann~ Your poetic talents are awesome! They sparkle with each read. Not only that you place all of you into each reply. I always 'feel' your replies, as if you were right in my home. So you see, Ann, you are more than the words. You know and are free to express yourself with your innermost being. You, Ann,,are a soul dancer. I appreciate that. Love, Panagiota xxx Bless you for FAVing this!

Suggestion...the UK has many locations. And you just got back from Turkey, right! It's a fun experience. I love the music, especially. In my city, there is no such thing. SF may still have some! And glad you enjoyed.*Even Greece may have some.* best wishes, Panagiota xxx

Hi Regina..I have been a dancer since I was 10. I wrote a poem on my ballet experience. Forgot the name. Love figure skating, especially couples. The body in motion is awesome. You take care! Panagiota xxx

Hi Line, hope all is well with you. Oh, glad you liked it. I started off, so dubiously, but again, this is a poem that wrote me. These are ones that make me happiest. PS. I haven't been commenting much. Hope to get into the stream of so doing soon. Have just been very tired and questioning my validity and doing an inquiry as if I wanted to keep doing this.As you can see there are seven pages of poetry. It took a toll on me. I am not the best anything here. I don't want to be. Just want to enjoy my poems and maybe a few will. Aporeciate your friendship. Panagiota xxx are not short nor easy for me
