The Beetle's Curve
A rounded roof against the blue,
A gentle hum, a faithful hue.
The Volkswagen small and round,
On Philippine roads familiar sound.
We crammed inside, a joyful throng,
To Tagaytay's breeze where winds were strong.
Or Baguio bound with luggage tied,
Adventures shared with naught to hide.
The engine hummed a steady beat,
Through sun-drenched days and rain-swept street.
Its sturdy frame, a comfort true,
A part of lives we journeyed through.
The faded paint, a story told,
Of family trips and brave and bold
Explorations near and far,
Beneath a Philippine guiding star.
No fancy tech, no modern grace,
Just simple charm in time and space.
A turn of key, a gentle start,
A loyal friend within our heart.
Though newer cars now line the way,
We still recall that brighter day,
When Beetle's curve, a friendly sight,
Brought simple joys and pure delight.
