The Ballad of the Part-Time Lover
Beneath the glow of neon light, where secrets love to hide..
Two shadows meet in whispered steps, forbidden side by side.
A game of passion, sly and swift, where hearts and caution blend..
A dance of stolen glances.. where the night will know no end.
The city hums, the streetlights blink, a world of hush and heat..
And in the dark, a melody, a heartbeat sharp and sweet.
Stevie sings in velvet tones, with keys that run like fire..
A rhythm spun in tangled fate, in longing and desire.
"Call up, ring once, hang up the phone," a signal sent in code..
A love that walks a hidden path, a winding, restless road.
The echoes of a stolen touch, a smile behind closed doors..
A fleeting world of half-lit dreams, where love is never sure.
The bassline moves, a heartbeat runs, the synths like laughter glide..
And yet beneath the sparkling notes, a truth one cannot hide.
For secrets burn and lovers stray, no shadow stays concealed..
And in the end, all whispered lies will one day be revealed.
Yet still the groove, it pulls us in, temptation in its sway..
The thrill of love that dares to dance where daylight fears to stay.
So play the song, let echoes last, let memories uncover..
The tale of fleeting, restless hearts, the fate of a Part-Time Lover.
