The Assurance of Being Chosen - John 10: 27-30
There were days when I had doubts
having had been drawn to my Lord
for a few years after being saved
life was hard having lost my sword
I wondered if it had been a fake
that I had lost the heavenly way
but the Lord wasn't finished with me
the holy spirit led me to eternally stay
One day I opened the holy scriptures
to John's gospel 10:27-30, this to believe
assurance came and flooded my soul
His sheep follow Him never to leave
For his sheep hear His voice and He knows
eternal life given to them by their father
perish never be for His hand's secure
God the father chooses those He will gather
Our heavenly father is greatest of all
no one is able to snatch me away
the assurance of being chosen
fills one with joy and hope everlastingly
('My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me,[a] is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.” ) John 10: 27-30 (ESV)
