The Anointing

The Goddess dwells
in the high places. Her green mantle
flows over the slopes. 
Waterfalls
    cascade 
      in 
        silver 
           braids.

I lay down
among rocks and flowers
and felt her embrace,
and the waters of a mountain stream
anointed my brow.
