The Ankh's Power
It’s the symbol of eternal life,
It lets you live on after death;
Removed from the Earthly strife,
Once you’ve taken your last breath;
After you’ve passed your judgment,
From Osiris, God of the Dead;
You proceed with your descent,
Into the afterlife ahead;
The Ankh in your funeral chamber,
Helps guide you on your way;
Lit by burning embers,
So nothing would decay;
The Ankh’s colossal power,
Could keep you forever alive;
Until the coming hour,
When the mighty Gods arrive.
~According to what I have read-The Egyptians believed that they would
one day arise when the Gods again walked the earth-that's what the Ankh
represented~
