You were T ^ h ^ A e R N O C H v When reality was unmoored and adrift When life’s harshest winds ripped a rift When ominous clouds loomed overhead When anger leashed gloom tinged red You were a ( ( (( VOICE )) ) ) of reason When kindness and healing was sparse When probable friendships were a farce You gave me hope, you kept me grounded When rebound of love’s alarms sounded You are a J E W E L of the sea A whirling tsunami washed you ashore A precious rock, I’d come to adore Like colorful sea glass, I’m eased by you A gem of a gift gallant and true A treasured heart about to unfurl I’m destined to be your pearl of a girl

Such a beautifully layered tribute—your words float and crash like waves, with rhythm and tenderness. I love the unique formatting too; it visually mirrors the emotional grounding of an anchor and the sparkle of a jewel. “You are a jewel of the sea” and “a treasured heart about to unfurl” really hit home. Inner visions are more than I could hope for in a poets interpretation. Beats and more beats are a phenomenal way of saying bravo, such as snapping fingers at a spoken word session. TyVM, my favorite poetess. Let the sunshine in! ;D

TyVm, Tommy. It's difficult to have taken on an anchor poem, the reason being, every poetic verse has been used . I let the heart talk with a few unusual pairing of words and pray that they haven't already been in ai land. Smiles
