The Absolution of Love

In a moment, yes a moment, I want you to close your eyes…. Though first, you must breathe deeply, in and out, slowly Taking in the scent of this moment…let the cool air drink you Rest your jaw; loosen its tension, and roll your shoulders gently, allowing them to feel, Yes, feel, each little particle, each essence of caress…let it press…let it press… Until you are one with them, rightly so, as insignificant as they seem, as important you all are! In a moment, I will ask you to close your beautiful eyes, Yes, the eyes that wander into seas of words, seas of colors, and seas of truths… Though before facing the darkness under your lids, You must hold on…no, not cling, hold…and embrace, the absolution of love Cradle it, nurture it, and taste its wonders ever embedded around your weakened soul It is a weakness you feel, though cannot control…the weakness that leads to letting go…. Sometimes we fall in thin air, because we fail to hold…. Yes, hold, so we can let go… So we can let go….and behold the beauty that has long waited to touch us In a moment, I want you to close your eyes, Though in relaxing your body and soul of all its past agonies, sorrows, trials and tremors, I want you to imagine them open, To a light so proverbial , the angels forgot to inspire mortal to put its presence in verse So strong, it leaves the world we know behind That eternal moment only you understand, Only you can imagine… Do not turn away from the thought when your eyelids beg to be lifted You must hold them there, in all composure of heart In a moment, so near, you must ready the soul without fear Without tears, tremors, trepidation… You are ready to face your revelation Now close your eyes…

Revelations are what we live for, new knowledge, sensations, new creations with our hearts and minds, and your marvelous thought form of "absolution of love" is perfect in it's aweinspiring impact upon the soul, and such an original expression Laura. You are so beautiful in your calm, methodical leadership, preparing the eyes in particular with loving instruction. Am I wrong in thinking that you changed the angel line? This poem has a real touch of spiritual temperature, courage,mystery...J.A.B.

What a POEM Laura! I won't try to guess the meaning here but yes, I agree with Tom's comment that it may be about 'passing over'...But this also reminded me of my hippie days when I took a course in Transcendental Meditation...When I finally learned the correct method I found I could become 'bodiless' so to speak; total and complete relaxation... Thanks for this my friend - Tim

Lovely, Tim... your enthusiasm is inspiring, and thanks too, for sharing... the purpose of this poem is to press the importance of opening our minds for our personal revelations, in hope of discovering those portals of love that will lead to peace of mond. And as such, meditation of the mind is important. I'm looking forward to your soupmail, and to reading more of your uplifting poetry. ~Laura
