The 70's - the Lost Years
The 70’s – the lost years
At present I am in the 70’s
soon to be 73.
The temperature
hit a record high 74
here in Boston today.
During the 70’s
I was older
than myself,
so pondered the melee -
they drug rock and roll
out of the 50’s,
drugs out of the 60’s,
added sex in the 70’s
Sex, Drugs and Rock-n-Roll.
Thank god there were
not cell phones
to record the inane ramblings
of sex crazed
drunk and drugged
“?participants?”
The damage had been done
braincells lost in a smoky haze,
bathed in cheap wine.
And then……
THE 80’S…….DISCO
What a way to sober up
and go straight…..
