I've been gone for some time, but I'm back. I hope your break isn't long. God bless.

Dear John, no, no... this is not just another Dear John letter... John, you will be missed at PS... Can we entice you to stick to posting contests as a partial hiatus while your muse is resting...??

I've never been able to leave for long. The poet can leave the poetry...but the poetry never leaves to poet. You will be back. Blessings my friend--and never feel guilty for a necessary break.

A break is not a problem, John; in fact sometimes it's useful to take a sabbatical, then come back with freshly charged batteries. Wishing you all the best in all you set your heart on. In the meantime, we'll await your return! // paul

Please don't leave permanently, John:-( You'll be missed, that's for sure. I hope you come back after your hiatus like Chris Green did. You're a talented poet and we all enjoy your contests!

John, we all need breaks from time to time. I've taken many over the past 11 years on this site. Your muse will likely return when you least expect it. John, I don't know you personally, but I do know a lot of the people whom you know. I hope you will be back and I do understand the need for breaks now and then as I too need them. When you get back, hopefully soon, I look forward to getting to know you as a fellow poet and friend. be blessed, be safe.

I've done the same 3 times John, just don't make the same mistake I did and delete it all because it removes everything including comments you made etc - it's a wonderful life Bud, so if you must take that break and come back home again.

You have so much more in your muse. Especially those of us that are new to PS. Perhaps this will be a short vacation to revamp some Intrigue. At least keep writing poetic friend. Try to keep the music alive and godspeed on your return. Thanks for all that you do. Lonna

I am going to miss you and your wonderful poetry my friend. Your contests too. I kind of felt this way from October until after the first of the year. I was feeling down when my daughter and family moved to another island in July. It helps to read poetry of members and the masters as they inspire. I hope you only take a short break. (1) John - You are my Brother here, and have been since I joined - my biggest supporter and encouragement, and many, many times with soup mails and message convos about all sorts of things - and you have stopped me from leaving a number of times with your kindness and friendship. I pray this is just a muse thing and temporary, cuz seriously, if you're done, I probably am too.

sometimes it's good to take a break, creativity tends to wax and wane (at least it does for me!)..you have always been generous in your comments to me, you're a very good writer and have hosted some wonderful contests too :)

John, sometimes we all need to step back, but please do not delete anything, because one day you may find you miss this community of poets, that is what happened to me back in 2011/12, I left for almost a year and it took a near death experience to realize this is where my heart beats. I can still recall writing acrostics in my hospital bed. I had deleted everything but was not gone because I was gifted a Lifetime Membership! Hope you find your rhyme again and return to us one day _Constance

You posted this on Groundhog Day, so does this mean you will re-live this day every day? If so, that means you are not really leaving. John, I get it and I have done the same. At times we need a change just to recharge. I am sure you will be back. (hopefully) Stay cool my friend and let me know when one of those songs gets published.
