That Other One
It is said that if only one person remembers you
then you will live two lives;
one after you leave this world
the other within that person who still recalls you,
but when you are totally forgotten,
what then?
Perhaps ghosts will always be
opening doors in our astral bodies
trying to figure out what we once meant to them.
Of course there will always be that special one,
the one who leaves a hole in you
that this world had no chance of filling,
that one may not even mark your leave-taking
or this,
your long disappearing trick.
