That Act Your Age Nonsense

     I have heard this saying all of my life,
     There is just no handbook, for any age!
     I hear it still~ and it fills me with strife.
     These Dudley-Do-Rights, please turn the page?


     Get a life, and let us spread our wings!
     We give you space to be who you are!
     None of your business if we had a fling.
     Smile and get a fresh cookie from a jar.


                           I DON’T KNOW 
                    HOW TO ACT MY AGE
                              I’VE NEVER
                                 BEEN
                        THIS OLD BEFORE!

LOL. I remember when they asked my papa how it felt to be 75. He responded as you do - "I don't know. I've never been 75 before." :) Here's to those who never feel their age and always have fresh cookies in the jar! :)

Hi dear Pangie, wonderfully humorous and also very truthful. My daughter playfully teases me about all the good looking men actors I have a crush on, lol! Hi, Regina! I have never grown up! I will never dye my hair blue or act the way people expect, it is like they want to put a straight jacket on you, and worst if you’re older, do not have any funPlease keep all the posters up you want. Be outrageous.. why not I am.? I say, do things that make Elena blush. I expressed myself freely, especially around people that I blew noses. And they’re way younger than lamb. I like good looking men in real life and I’m a flirt too! I can see we have something in common I didn’t know about. Thank you for sharing that and for reminding me of this poem. Aha! I had to read this! My husband can’t stand when i get upset & cry (like all men i’ve ever known) But, Jim will say to it, “Sally, grow up!” That enrages me…I am afterall, aged 72!!!!! Oh goodness!! hmm This poem tells it as it is!

Sally, REAL men do cry, maybe your husband was taught to never cry, I have seen men cry in seminars and male friends weep because their wives or girlfriends had abortions,. Big, brawny policemen weeping, it made me cry, too.as well as men from other fields! I like alpha males who can cry..I hope one day, he will hug you and accept you for who you are, Tears and all. Victor, yes !you assumed correctly!!I do laugh frequently.my daughter works from my house. She’s quite upbeat so That helps a lot. Goodness, do not put yourself down. There are plenty of clowns in this world who are fools. I mean maniacs who think they are sane.they say and do idiotic things. They honestly think they are God’s gift to the world! Since I broke my thigh, no more walking outdoors and no driving. I get weaker all the time. Only in body but my mind walks on the wild side. I like freedom of expression.music, movies.Thank yo,.. Akkinna. I am sure you understood what I meant. It’s so nuts…when youth thinks the hat others must Love be by their ideas of what’s in some magical rule book. Let people be who they are. Even if we disagree, it’s OK to not think the same way. My mother taught me that was young that not all people appliquéing the same way. I did not agree with her because I was too dumb. But I know now that my mother was very wise. Thank you for being here.. Pangie xx

Alexis, wonderful to see you. People just can’t allow us to be ourselves. They are righteous, rigid and boring. They may be younger than us , too. Such self righteous moralistic morons. ))) how boring they are. I laughed as I wrote this! Great fun. Thakss. Pangie xx
