Borrows a little from my poem

The Beast of Stephen

_______________________________

This Thanksgiving I’ll nibble jerky Cos somebody just named my turkey The snow’s crisp and even I can’t feast on Stephen And mulled wine has made things look murky The turkey ran huffing and puffing And now I can’t locate my stuffing That feathery sinner Has gobbled my dinner And so I’m thanks-giving for nothing

Thanks, Linda. Based on an older poem, but it still gave me a giggle. Glad you enjoyed. Terry

I’ve just paid sixteen hundred quid for a dental fixed bridge…. There’ll be no jerky for me… so that’ll be Turkey soup then… minus the Turkey!

I can but try, Daniel. Trouble is… if I write something serious, it’s met with a wall of silence. C’est la vie. Glad you enjoyed this. Terry

Your Limerick is delight and made me laugh. I love the title 'feathery sinner.' Maybe next year you can have him for dinner. smiles ~ Sara

Thanks, Sara. My ‘Beast of Stephen’ was not a Limerick and had a completely different storyline, so I felt it was okay to borrow from it. Glad you enjoyed. Terry
