Francine Roberts Poet Acrostic

Thanksgiving Day

The turkey is cooked,
Ham will be done soon.
All the family has gathered,
Nibbling since noon.
Kitchen is full,
Sauces are simmering.
Guests feel at home,
Insisting on helping.
Variety of foods
In Mother's best dishes.
Now to say grace,
Give thanks and best wishes.

Do it all over
Again next year.
You have to be thankful for family so dear.

Robert Pettit January 11, 2011 at 10:48 PM To formulate an acrostic is difficult to do, but to also make it rhyme gives it a whole added dimension. You have written this one quite well.
