Thanksgiving blessings, bountiful perfumes
Scented flavors of pumpkin and apple
Nostalgia whispers and gently consumes
Gratitude thrives as some go to chapel
Praying for faith, hope and love to soften
Hearts who grew cold and prepared to grapple
With good truths laid to rest in their coffin
By those who turn from God to corruption
Doubting decency cheers souls so often
Silence breathes insight into disruption
Awakening music that sooths the soul
Heals hurts, soothes the vexing interruption
Wonders of faith work toward a shared goal
Molding a sweet and kind nature within
Causing dreams and desires that make one whole
Thanksgiving blessings, inspiring therein
Assurance that God answers our prayers
With love, despite our bleakest, blackest sin
