Thanksgiving

On thanksgiving day we’re eager to see
on dinner table smoked juicy turkey.
We find dismayed the bird gone,
and couldn’t get another one.
No way out, we’ve to turn vegan grimly.

Grateful for God’s blessings as the windfall,
no turkey but wine everybody’s call.
Apple pie, tomato fry
make unique dinner night fly.
Thank His benevolence giving it all.
