Thanks, My Love
For all the sweet moments we've had together,
and many time our love seem to falter,
for many pains we've together borne,
and many gains that have accrued to our barns,
for standing by when the ground wanted to give way,
and the intensity of the sun seemed unbearable,
for those days I was a thorn in your soft flesh,
and you never chose to tear it away,
for thousands years ahead for us to dream,
and indulge in all our worldly treasure,
for all of these and many more to come,
I say thank you my love for being there for me.
