Thankful
I've been kissed by angels, in the absence of light.
I've had dreams rise and fall, in the darkness of night.
I've had love cut me deep, like a razor sharp knife.
I've been knocked down and kicked...by this thing we call life.
I've smiled and cried, as a mother was giving birth.
I've also made love, to the most beautiful woman on earth.
I've seen the miracle of life, every spring be reborn.
I've had the storms of life, leave me tattered and torn.
There is one thing for sure, its abundantly clear.
The storm clouds will always fade, and the sun will always reappear.
I've witnessed true beauty, in this life that we live.
I'm thankful for life, and what it has to give.
