Thank you for the promises
The ones you didn't keep
Of happy ever after
Forever you and me
Thank for the hope you gave
Then selfishly took away
You buried it so far from reach
Never to see the light of day
Thank you for the adventures
That we'll never get to have
Experiencing life together
Fades into feelings that just feel sad
Thank you for the dreams
Of a happy family
Thoughts of growing old together
Are now just unmade memories
Thank you for awakening
A love I never thought I'd feel again
Just to leave me stranded, all alone
Back at the beginning of the end
