Text Tangle
She sends her mom texts about how insane her father is acting.
Her husband sends her texts, explaining his daughter is being unreasonable.
She turns to me, her mother.
Fifty years, she says. I could never do fifty years.
I know, I reply.
I would have gotten out by now if I had murdered three people.
He is being unreasonable, she told me.
Taking the daughter’s side.
But silently.
