Tender Blossoms
How colors bold from this new day
Would linger on my joyful mind,
Then lead me 'round and trail away
Into a meadow just behind
Where blossoms dance in pearl-like hues
As tulips whirl after the rain
Enchanting my auroral views:
That here, I am refreshed again
Down gurgling aisles along a stream,
Till pansies gold burst into a leaf
While marigolds stir like a dream:
So lustrous a morn , yet so brief
Capricious like a butterfly
Through dazzling sun, its painted ring;
While buds return to charm my eye
For in my heart... I start to sing!
