Temporary Tattoos
unshaken by the dreams of permanence which
bubble within the hearts & minds of those that
place sentimental nothings all over themselves,
the temporary tattooed are those that know full well
nothing is meant to last &
like the makers of automobiles who at first made cars that would last a lifetime
changed up their tune,
pumping out intentionally flawed cars
which would inevitably break down & need to be
fixed or tossed away for a new one
(with the same problems),
a temporary tattooed person
has no illusions where the sentimentality of the moment is concerned,
for the designs are mass produced,
clichéd & faulty,
breaking apart in the sunlight &
washed away by showering off the dirt---
far too much like human relationships.
