Templeton the Sad Little Ghost
Templeton was a sad little ghost
alone in an abandon mansion
It creaked and squeaked sounding eerie
even for a little ghost it was somewhat scary
still the ceilings were so very high
and through room to room he loved to fly
Wondering who the portraits on the wall may be
was the little boy on the mantle possibly me
Templeton slept through the days
and up at night he long to play
Wishing that someone would come this way
but each night a lonely ghost he stayed
Poor little Templeton would sigh
as he touched the girl's portrait ever shy
One night in flight he heard a query sound
a haunting lure so pure and profound
For through the main door what did he see
a little girl ghost singing my name is Mary
He giggled to himself and laughed into a scream
Mary got spooked and hid behind the dividing screen
I'm sorry I scared you don't be afraid
she looked up it was just a boy that scream made
She giggled and laughed and flew up to him
the fun they had was only to begin
Exploring the old house and giving chase
the two little spooks even begin to race
Upstairs downstairs to basement to attic
all night they stay at it
Came the day they settle down
into the bunk beds they slept sound
Templeton was now a happy ghost
two lost souls eternal friends in an ghostly mansion
