it hurt. i didn't know how to ask you to stop. so i let you take everything inside of me for your own. i begged you to love me, and you did. but not in the right way. i needed your comfort but instead you made my stomach turn. you carved me out to be exactly what you want, but it's not what i wanted. you used me as your canvas but my skin was full of other art. you made me bite the insides of my cheeks so i would never say anything wrong. they bled. and bled. and bled.
