Tech-Madness

In a wide street of commuters and passers by
rare is road disorder, measured in a small scale
busy minds, walking legs, punchers of devices,
a quick censors and smart gadgets top the stats
sitting, walking, eating or talking, one powered tool is present
life has evolved, blood has turned digital
without the emission of rays, air will not spread
tragedy embraces a compatriot to be in pain
the first helper is agent delay, followed by a community of phones
his cry only increases the pixels of these portables
a poor in need of help, treated like an abstract epiphany
the first human appears for an incredible assistance
the accompanying round of applause had no genuine power
hands from strong hearts jam to form a clunk
the scene ends and everyone is back to the virtual world again.

I think this is very isolating. It is all becoming too technical. Where will it end. We need to get back into the real world more. Artificial, and very disconcerting... Great write, Funom. Thank you. Take care...Shirley

Thank you very much Shirley, it is disheartening and worrisome, but all the same, we will do our best with our kids to nurture them into the true meaning of Real connections. Thank you once again.

Your description is accurate but scary. Your words are well chosen and scene set well for effect. I have written several poems on this subject. Best regards David in NZ

It is hard to believe that through technology, we are so connected yet so disconnected from everyone. Beautifully written my friend. I hope all is well JC Hawkens

connections in our present day world are mostly virtual... the unfortunate thing here is, the virtual is taking over the real

Saw something about kids the other day, years ago they'd go out looking for frogs and insects etc, now they look for a WiFi connection, sign of the times I suppose.

Great poem. Times sure have changed. While technologically is handy and fun, I miss the days before all this.
