Tears of Despair

Hushed night arrives in forlorn garb
Embracing pathos of pensive heart,
As elusive hope flickers in sullen eyes
Tears of despair feign vacant smiles.

"feign vacant smiles" Like happiness painted on. It's not real. This holds so many emotions. You have touched my heart with your words, but then again- your thoughts always wrap around me. ~ Brandy
