“My tears are testimony of my devotion to Beloved;
and from those tears white lilies will grow that speak the truth.”
Rumi

I had heard the legend of her tears, silent drops of sorrow liberating her pain, flowing upon the tip of her voiceless lips. Her hopes descending like blossom buds, drowning in ripples of rampant tides, dragging her deeper into despair, as her words suffocated among ignorant waves. Trials of life had infected her mind, with a melody of melancholic vapours, setting her adrift in misplaced uncharted waters. Immersing further, her cries no longer echoed, as her heart choked upon confined consciousness. Upon the depths of concussed misconception, under electric, earthquake, haunting horizons, her soul lay in slumber deluded by misjudgement. Confused between regret and remorse, trapped within the dilemma of circumstance, her fears set sail upon satanic seas, but only crawled into solitary seclusion - forming eggshell foundations. I was no hero nor did I have a halo, but I was born to become a martyr, in the glory of her martyrdom, so I unpacked my heart, ready for the final crusade of my life. Treading upon a path of cracked glass, decaying with crumbling concrete, I wandered towards her speechless screams. Preparing to feel the personification of her pain. Empathic nature of my spirit yearned to rescue her from the illusions of a fathomless abyss, to release her from her internal crucifixion - hoping we would merge like ocean and shore. As I reached the darkness of her door, like a star falling from heaven, her truth like stardust, softly sprinkled, flourishing and nourishing through me. I placed my heart into her hands, as light faded out the blackness, like an abundance of kaleidoscopic petals, her tears now illuminated like a rainbow. Overwhelmed in this tranquillity, shimmering reflections of emotions, like gentle rain cascading from my soul, I became tearful as they nurtured my heart's garden. I remain intoxicated in their enchantment, kissing her sorrows away for eternity.

Your poetry is sumptuous. Each morsel is intoxicating. I wish my muse was as kaleidoscopic as her petals. Your skill as a poet makes me envious. Your heart's garden blooms magnificently.

Beautiful, heartfelt, sensitive and touching! This poem rises above Rumi's quote. "Like gentle rain cascading from my soul, I became tearful as they nurtured my heart's garden". I am taken by your work! Health and Happiness Lonna

A powerful tale, Silent One, certainly places me in the last seat in the back of the class. There is no grandiose secret as to why Mom was versatile in her successes. She had Heaven on her side and my friend, therein lies my challenge. In lacking thereof, using an axiom leaning heavily to left--I have got an Ace in the hole, Mom, as I'm honing my skills with my Constance's contest entry 'Sanctuary' was an intro to Grace. Fave. A FAV, my friend. Great entry for the contest, good luck! A heroic tale of unconditional Love. As the song says, "to march into Hell for a heavenly cause". Your imagery painted a beautify Love story, with healing only Love can bring to one in darkness. Bless you for your selfless efforts to help heal another in pain. Love is supreme, dear friend. Love on! Bill

Oh, my world, this is terrific. Lovely one Silent. "her fears set sail upon satanic seas." This line alone tells us how stormy and dangerously deep and deadly her pain was. You didn't need a halo to save her, you were her halo, her angel that didn't need wings to fly. I hope the heart you gave her remains preserved and a light for her to heal and be happy. Nice one, I loved it.

SO, the description of despair is so very strong. You sir are a knight in shining armor for taking on the mission to alleviate suffering. I particularly like the terms under which the journey begins. If only all people were as compassionate, we'd have a different society. Seems there is not enough unselfish love.

Dear SO, what a breathtaking journey through the depths of emotion and selfless devotion. The imagery of tears as seeds for white lilies, inspired by Rumi's words, sets a poignant tone. Your portrayal of sorrow as silent drops liberating pain is evocative, resonating with the reader's empathy. I feel your depiction of inner turmoil, struggles, and the yearning for connection unfolds like a gripping tale. Also, the symbolism of martyrdom and the final crusade of love adds layers of complexity to the narrative, showcasing the depth of your empathy and compassion. Silent One, your poem is a testament to the power of love and empathy to transcend darkness and nurture the soul. It is a wonderful, moving piece of poetry. - Blessings, Daniel
