TEACHER IN DREAMLAND Step outside in January and it’s not 30 degrees below Metro to school is on time and uncrowded All kids in class behave well and want to learn Sun shines in window but not too hot Xerox machine works without breaking down Textbooks are clearly written and crap-free Principal helps with organization and timetabling Coffee machine produces liquid resembling coffee Guy in the newspaper shop responds when I say good evening Elevator works at all floors in the apartment building Television shows are interesting and uninterrupted by silly ads Midnight doesn’t come too quickly and there is time To read a little and chat with my wife who is not working late End of a perfect day. . . . . . in dreamland. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
