TAPESTRY OF LIFE, AN ELEGY

             Tapestry of Life

In the still graveyard overlooking San Francisco Bay.
Her husband's young body doth rot and in profound
silence lay.

Overlooking that city, where he married his young wife.
Who now recalls the beauty of his all too short, vibrant life.

The many walks on those heavenly hills, the poetry they read.
The coffee shops of North Beach, alas, their aromatic memories
So dreamy in her bowed, widowed head.

She stills dons her inexpensive, gold wedding ring to this very
minute.
And when she touches it, all the magical love they shared~
still sings in it!

This is quite the most beautiful poem I have read dear Panagiota. As I read it tears fill my eyes and yet their love is so strong I can feel it with every pore of my body. It is stunning and I feel so moved by it, but also happy that their love was so gloriously beautiful. Thank you dear friend. You are the most amazing poet Panagiota. With love and kindest thoughts Ann xx an absolute FAV...

Greetings, my dear Ann and thank you! As I wrote this...you were in my mind also. How difficult it is when those we dearly love are gone~ so young! We want to pick up a phone and at least say good-bye, I love you! After loss, one can only live one day at a time. Even one minute at a time! One day we will see them again. Whole and complete! Remember that, Ann. And yes, they have etched themselves on our hearts..we shall never forget their bright light. FAV? I have FAV'd yours, too? You are an amazing woman and poet. Panagiota ..xxx
