poetry soup inspiring both poets and aspiring poems of natural beauties epics to little cuties
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tanaga a “Filipino Haiku”, but NOT quite accurate. Like an English haiku, the Tanaga counts syllables. Thanks Jan, but its not new, its an ancient form and for reasons unbeknown to me went out of fashion. There are some on P.S. but one I have just read, and 4th place in a tanaga compo doesn't conform to the ancient guidelines. https://www.poetrysoup.com/poem/hammocks_swing_418559 check it out. I just checked the compo guidelines and the sponsor has amended the rules for a modern format which has no need to rhyme, to me this is wrong. For me a tanaga has to rhyme or its not a tanaga. Like to hear what you have to say. Looking at my recent I've just noticed an oversight, the ies on cuties. Hugs Mick :)
