Tales of Love

She closes her eyes,
and dreams of a man.

Riding a white horse,
with a sword in hand.

With polished armor,
she can see his shine.

And prepares the bed,
with roses and wine.

Fingers combing hair,
she sings him a song.

Desires are high,
as its been so long.

The morning is bright,
with songbirds singing.

People gathering,
and church bells ringing.

As in lovers' tales,
although she will cry.

She'll think of that night,
with a dreamy sigh!
