Here, my gift, My hand in yours. Hear, my promise, No weapons of war. Here, my heart, Full of love and peace. The time is here, It's Christmas Eve! When every hand is held None can go astray The whole world is at peace On this Christmas day Here, I stand. Full of love! Here, I am! Connecting us There you are, Let us be, I take your hand A gift of peace. When every hand is held None can go astray The whole world is at peace On this Christmas day Here, is faith Dividing us Here is color Dividing us Join together Find that common ground Hear the way our unity Can make a joyful sound When every hand is held None can go stay The whole world is at peace On this Christmas day

I wrote this after writing, "Twas THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS in POETRY SOUP". I had it in my mind it would be the song we all wrote in that poem. I know yall could do much much better than this but it was just the idea. Merry Christmas POETRY Soup! A thousand blessings for peace and goodwill ! Xo
