Take my fortune
Take my fame
Take my pride
Leave me in shame
Take my sanity
Take my soul
Take my dignity
Leave me without control
Take my compassion, take my pride
Take my faithfulness too
Take my entire life as well
For the man you’ve become is not the man I once knew
Take my dreams
Take my freedom
Take my voice as well
For the conscious and love you once had
Those traits have now expelled
Take everything without regret or any empathy to bestow
But you'll never take the love for my girls which forever continues to grow
