Swinging From the Trees

How's your day, swinging from the trees? Mine's an absolute winner, a ten outta ten? They're coming along more often lately Is it just that I'm no longer aware? One day just runs into another Perhaps my age has a lot to do with it Not aware as I used to be Guess my engine is running out of gas The way I feel I'll still be around for a while There's no guarantees but I'm feeling good Don't think there are many at 87 That can say that? Just guessing though Don't really know the statistics

My Dad feels the same. He is almost 85. He’s great physically but misses mom. So when I say, “How are you?” He says, “eh..” So I leaned in, hugged him and said, “Your, good, Dad. Your good.” Really, for the most part, he is. It helps that us kids visit. Hugs, sweet Happy J.!
