''swept Away''
My first rock concert was in the year 1995,
The group was part of the British invasion;
On the bar in the demon carnage pit,
Swept away with the enormous sounds,
Deafening roar, crushing, gyrating screams.
So amazing . . .
Savage and satanic, edgy music,
Waving our arms, dancing, singing, shouting;
Jumping, some girls ripped their shirts off,
Hot and painful in the pit, claustrophobic.
Many unruly with drugs and drinking,
Puking, thus a man with a sawdust bucket;
Ushers and security threading about,
I just went with the flow, loving it all,
A time for youthful rebellion and fun.
Awesome concert . . .
But listen, you do not wear the bands shirt,
It is an unwritten law, then and now;
Sexy in jeans, white top, boots and long hair,
A time in life that remains unforgettable.
