Sweet William
There once was a man, smelt like a trash can
‘Til came the day the dreadful fray began
Wife said she would leave
And find a new squeeze
Who smelt as delightful as Sweet William.
The man said nothing, but thought all the more
Afraid that the wife would show him the door
He took a good scrub
In a hot bathtub
Then scent of roses poured from every pore.
He pleaded “forget Sweet William, please do”
“I smell wonderful for you now, it’s true”
She had a huge laugh
At his daft remark
As ‘twas in the garden Sweet William grew.
