Sweet Temptations
I see the subtle way she looks at me
with soft blue eyes that put me in a trance,
and her flirtatious smile that’s so carefree;
it beckons me to come and take a chance.
Her gentle curves beneath her red sundress
in bright sunlight show off her silhouette,
and calls to me inviting love’s caress
while tempting me with tryst I won’t regret.
Cannot this lovely temptress see my hand
which bears on finger narrow band of gold,
or is this rendezvous just as she planned
to taste forbidden fruit not hers to hold?
Are sweet temptations just as she designed,
or is temptation only in my mind?
