Sweet September, a Letter
My dear treasured friend.
Good morning, sweet September.
There is so much about you to remember.
Being my birth month is just one great reason.
You are also the springboard to a beautiful season.
It's Tuesday, 92220 at 7:37 AM in the Pacific time zone,
and I can hardly believe that your 30-day stay is nearly gone.
This year is so much different than all the rest that I've known.
I'd like to think that more people are appealing to God's throne.
You see, September, I think that two things are working against you this year.
Firstly, so much has happened that we are looking back at the way this year has been. Secondly, we are looking forward toward November and the new year, hoping that something changes. And there you are, somewhere in the middle, not getting the attention you so freely deserve.
It dawned on me today that I have written something nice about you for the last few years. If you had slipped by me without words from me, I think that it would have brought me to tears. Always realize, my dear friend, that you will always be that strong and colorful bridge over troubled waters; always there to aid the world in transitioning from heat to cold, from summer to winter.
Your forever friend.
