peonies bring back memories of my mum
her flower patch and gifted green thumb
from merely one fragrant bloom
its scent filled the room
imbuing
sweet
fragrances
to each fresh bouquet
she’d proudly put on display
on seeing one, there’s but one outcome,
peonies bring back memories of my mum
