It is wonderful when we remember and cherish those things passed from one generation to the next. What a brilliant Haiku. Mac

Worthy of a front rwo position in this contest, I would say Carrie. Awe-inspiring Haiku. per your comment, Dad, the last of a dying breed I am afraid. However, we are the better of those whom sholders we stand on. Thanks for your prose in your comment, Sincerely, love, Moses

I enjoyed this description of your "Lilac memories," Carrie. Unfortunately, my grandmother only had a bowl filled with plastic fruit. Not much to inspire a write such as yours! Excellent, meaningful haiku. Love, carolyn

Hi Carrie, It's amazing how something can trigger a memory! My grandmother planted a Lilac bush in front yard because that's my birth flower. She too would fill it with Lilac's. It always made me feel special and loved. I love this Haiku. Going into my favorites! This will make a lovely entry into Carol's contest. Best of luck sweet! Love Light Patty
