Sweet Dreams Baby Jesus
And what dreams do you dream, baby Jesus
When gently falling asleep on the hay?
In a manger that's far from prestigious
Do Angels come by and join you in play?
And do you hear a mother's voice singing
Sweet lullabies soothing her new born Son?
Accompanied by church bells a-ringing
As in welcome to the Holiest One.
You've come from Heaven to show us the way
Of love, and of joy, and peace upon earth.
Thus we give thanks, and to Heaven we pray
Praise be to God for the gift of your birth.
“Angels watch o'er you, and in their care keep
As you dream sweetly in Heavenly sleep.”
