Sweet Confession Tide

Sweet Confession Tide

Sweet briney trickles o’er my steps

Waves swill all sign here I have been

Draws misery below to ocean depths

Salts the wounds inflicted so obscene

Leaves my soul anew, fresh and clean.

Heaven knows how I missed this one, bruvver. An innovative title to denote sweet cleansing by the big briny. By far (and I mean by VERY far) the best entry I've seen to date. Good luck, bruv mine. I'm rooting deeply for you. Licia ^__*

If what goes on in those confessional booths is anything as described in your write, how you expect me to stay away? lol

Salt was placed in woulds indicted by whipping in order to add to the suffering. They had no idea that it sped up the healing of the wounds. I enjoyed this piece Richard.it is a treat to read a new poem this morning.
