~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The moon and stars surely wept
as night fell and my kindness slept,
breathing out a prayer of hope
to get through the storms, just cope
walking on the night, a shadow
lonely and lost, oh how I owe
my heart and my soul, all that I am
to this Savior who became a lamb
slaughtered by those He died for
making a way – He would restore
so that we can come to God in prayer
this is love that is beyond compare!
The quiet voice of His love and grace
promises our spirits He will embrace
with a gentle light that reflects in us
the redemption we should always discuss
soaring through the air, on angel’s wings
brought alive by a spirit who sings
revealing the warmth of His saving blood
He lifted me from the muck and mud
what He gave me – this grace and love
is beyond description, it’s from God above
resting on the spirit who believes He is
the King of Kings, and I’m forever His
The lessons I’ve learned by following Him
remind me He won’t leave me feeling grim
His love is an anchor during each storm
assuring me I’m a heart, a soul, He did form
when all is said and done, I feel so relieved
I love Him with all I am, all I’ve believed
He is the One who taught me to love completely
knowing He will always bless me so sweetly!
