Surprise For Grandma

Quick! Let’s make cookies and surprise grandma! Grandma had gone outside to show a neighbor a tractor. This was our chance; we were five and four. Our beagle Cotton was eager to help, of course. Grandma came in and laughed herself into a chair. She kept grinning and laughing, and we felt validated. Not understanding that she would have never done this It we had been her children instead of her grandchildren.
